Katya Krasnova is a Ukraine born, Los Angeles-based artist primarily works with blackwork tattoos, ceramic sculptures, clothing and illustrative art. Her style is bold yet delicate and easily recognizable and uniquely her own. Krasnova creating art of women and cats in various poses influenced by vintage imagery , but nuanced with contemporary aesthetic. Katya studied at Kyiv children Academy of Arts since 7 years old and then continued at Salvador Dali Academy of Contemporary Arts in Kyiv. She left the college and started her tattooing career at age of 19 with a modern vision on traditional and bold dark style. Since then she traveled around the world for guest spots and 4 years later she moved to NYC. Her style and aesthetic changed through years, but the main characters have always been cats and women. Now it’s minimalistic fine line designs with a bit of dark and contrast details. In 2020 she started creating ceramics. Her hand build cat sculptures is a mix of imperfection forms and brutal details , but sad and vulnerable look. Hand build vases with picture of female designs, interior items and surreal abstract details. In 2020 she moved to Los Angeles and opened her tattoo studio in Arts district.
